Meet Asqualor by Hubert Ronek

Qwerty and his gang were last year portrayed by Gino Nita, a comic book writer and illustrator. Now, however, I am pleased to introduce to you both another character from my book "Qwerty: The History" and its author, who has recently joined Qwerty's friends. Meet Asqualor by Hubert Ronek.

Asqualor (one of the baddies from "Qwerty: The History") Picture: Hubert Ronek

Asqualor is an elderly man, seemingly kind and well-mannered. Only his steel-cold eyes reveal the man's true nature: he is a tough, calculating bastard, who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. What's interesting, contrary to other evil characters scheming wickedly - at first he appears as an ominous figure in a monk's robes, with his face hidden under a hood, attempting to murder Qwerty. Only later he transforms into a friendly, agreement-abiding, serious leader, whose intentions towards the boy change. Later in the story we are not so sure about him anymore - is Asqualor really so bad...?

Hubert Ronek is a Polish comic book writer and illustrator. The above gentleman is not his only work - he has recently created the whole series of graphic novels for the Polish Institute of National Remembrance on the topic of the Second World War, entitled "The War Odyssey of Antek Silver 1939-1944" (Facebook). They depict the story of a young boy, his life, struggles, fights and imprisonment during the horrifying period of the World War II. Hubert is also responsible for various other titles that can be found on his blogs: HERE and HERE.
