Meet the Gibbles - the slightly dysfunctional family

If you've been following this blog, you may by now know about Qwerty and his friends. You may even know the characters I am about to introduce to you... But I shall spill a few words on the table anyway, to give you a better idea of who the Gibbles are.

The Gibble Family

Donald and Adela Gibble, pictured above, have been married for years and they happen to be uncle and aunt of Qwerty Seymore. Qwerty, with his strange name and few personal items to it, is forced to move to their house after his uncle Matt dies of cancer. Matt and Adela were brother and sister, and she took the boy under her roof.

Needless to say that Qwerty and Mr Gibble don't like each other, to put it delicately. Adela is not too fond of her nephew, either, but family is family to her, period. But the ties of blood do not stop her from using the boy every time there is a nasty domestic chore to complete. Thanks to his lovely auntie, he is never ever bored. Aunt Adela also has a funny turn Qwerty mentions either his name, his uncle Matt or, worst of all, his parents he knows nothing about. In such cases, among loads of twitching, she usually tells him to be quiet and clean the bathrooms.

Mr and Mrs Gibble have two children: Sebastian and Dolores. They're twins and never miss an opportunity to tease their cousin. Despite their angelic appearance - they are both hellishly handsome - they are evil pieces of work. But there comes a time when Sebastian lays his finger on Qwerty one time too many, and regrets it...

The Gibbles are a nasty bunch, and a bit dysfunctional, like every family... or a little more. Their drawings are created by a comic book writer and illustrator, Gino Nita. More about them and Qwerty's adventures you will find in the book "Qwerty: The History", available now on Amazon and Kindle.
